I have always favored order and smoothness, but when I come to my creative instinct, my subconscious takes over and something wonderful happens. The buildings have a fairytale appeal which sets them apart from the profusion of abstract ceramics being turned out today.

Even when I paint, I cannot draw a straight line. My teacher told me not to worry about it - it's my signature.

And so my "signature" has charmed many people. To be able to preserve historical building in a sculpture is heartwarming to me. Making ceramic ware with techniques that are thousands of years old is exciting and intriguing to me. I love to try new ideas.
